Nina Girma, born in Addis Ababa, is one of the few female rappers in Ethiopia. She was still in high school, when she began to be drawn to music and started performing at various events of the time. Later, she became famous for the short songs she posted on social media. Continuing to gain listeners in the same way, she entered the professional music world with the official release of her single “New Page” in September 2011.
After that, she released the singles “Le Baatri”, “Akbarat” and “Yetal Aleka”. In particular, her work titled “The Tal Boss” made her more popular among music listeners. In addition to her own songs, she has also participated in collective music projects for various purposes. The song “Friendship” in which the young and old singers of our country participated is an example of this.
